Freeride at it’s best…. Königsleiten – Every year again, so again this year the alpine course of the ski instructortraining took place in Königsleiten. With truly “bombs” conditions. Stable snow cover construction, fresh snow at just the right time, followed by perfect weather. This combination brought us Powder from the “pig” who seamlessly transitioned into the best “firn” ratios in the second half of the week. All the classics of the Zillertal Arena were made with short ascents and long descents. Surprisingly, even the close area to the left and right of the lifts was spared from the attacks of the tourists and so we were left with many untracked lines. Once again a testimony to the fact that the Zillertal Arena still really deserves the predicate “secret tip”. Many thanks to the instructor Markus Hirnböck, for the invitation and the trust placed in him. For me it is always a special experience to be able to hold courses together with mountain guide legends like Franz Deisenberger, something better can certainly not happen to a young mountain guide.
