A quick review and a little preview

A quick review and a little preview – After a perfect summer season, which as always ended at the beginning of October, of course, the first thing on the program was: climbing, climbing and climbing again. Thanks to the good weather, despite the advanced season, it was still possible to climb alpine climbs and so we made our limestone sticks on the doorstep, the Hochkönig and the Tennengebirge one or two visits. These alpine climbs were followed by our annual men’s holiday in the old tradition. For the first time in a new line-up you could almost say “Old Men’s Excursion” would not have pushed Rudi down the average age for us, thanks again. If you want to read more about this story, Max has written a cool report about it: , time is not standing still and at some point he came, the November. In this case, this meant for us, also almost traditionally, up to the Kitzsteinhorn or the Schmittenhöhe. The training courses of the SBSSV were again on the agenda and Max and two other mountain guide colleagues made their debut in the ski training team as freshly baked state-certified ski instructors. Maybe I happened not to be present, but I’m pretty sure that their “one-time round” is still outstanding! Almost eerie how good the weather gods once again meant it with us in autumn, no snow for pure sun, 2 whole courses long! Admittedly, I remember with wistfulness the “good old days” where we froze our ass at this time of year at the glacier. One joy of the other suffering! While everyone was waiting for snow, we had enough of skiing again for the time being. Low-snow and cold, these are not only the ingredients for an insidious snow cover structure, but also just the right mixture for ice climbing and so we got lost once again in the Kaprunvalley. The conditions were unusually good there. Surely you now have the impression that we have only spent our autumn with climbing! Just beside it! New and for the first time in the coming winter, we have summarized for you the winter classics of our region. A small, fine selection of classics that makes every ski touring and off-piste heart beat faster. You can find the link here: ski tour on the Tristkogel, which always takes place on Thursdays, and our tours and courses program round off our winter offer. There is also news from the Glemmtal: together with Markus Hirnböck we start the new season with a weekly guided ski tour. Everything about our new product “Hike and Ride, Stemmerkogel” can be found here: we are particularly pleased to introduce you to our new partner in Saalbach – Hinterglemm – Leogang – Fieberbrunn: The Ski School Saalbach and the Skifürst in Saalbach are now among our partners. After so many NEWS, I have only one thing left, I wish you all a nice, accident-free winter! A good start to the new year and always stay true to your intentions. See you soon, Gerald
